Ford Probe Picture
The affordable yet performance level sports coupe--that is the Ford Probe. It was first introduced by the Ford Company in 1989 to fill in the position
left by the Ford Capri and was aimed to totally replace the Ford Mustang. It was
introduced as a basic sports coupe in 1989 promising to be better for every model
year it will be manufactured.

Even for its first year in the car industry, the Ford Probe was immediately loved
for a lot of its qualities. It is a relatively low priced car and yet performs
as a premium race car. It drives fast and provides a huge amount of power, making
it a favorite race car. Its handling is excellent, compared to the other cars
during the time when it was introduced.
However, the superior handling of the Ford Probe seems to only hide its other
unlikable characteristics. Being too stiff, the Ford Probe is quite uncomfortable
to drive. Aside from the poor ride quality, it also comes lacking on comfort and
convenience features to make you enjoy every ride in it.
The major redesign in 1993 aimed on giving remedies to the above mentioned characteristics
while further improving the performance quality of the Ford Probe. Performance
was greatly improved with introduction of new engines but it still came short
with the comfort and convenience features. If any new features were introduced,
all came as optional features. It became safer though with new standard and optional
safety equipments.
