Ford Probe GT

The
Ford Probe GT has always been the premium model of the sports coupe that Ford introduced in
1989. It performs better, looks better, and feels better than the regular Ford
Probe. And when it was redesigned in 1993, it gets even better--more powerful,
more capable and a true race car.
The GT trim was Ford Probe's premium trim level when introduced in 1989. It is
equipped with the same engine and transmission as the regular models but the engine
of the GT is the turbocharged version, which means more power and torque production.
It also gets standard features not present or optional to the other two trims.
When it was redesigned in 1993, the GT gets even better. The V6 engine it was
fitted with gave it more power and made it drive smoother. It also accelerated
quicker. And with its superior handling and cornering capabilities, it becomes
a car to beat if used as a race car.
Aside from increased performance, the second generation Ford Probe GT, as well
as the other trims, became safer to drive. It gets driver airbags when redesigned
in 1993 and added passenger airbags the following year. The all-wheel disc brakes
with optional ABS brakes made it even safer to drive.
