1994 Ford Probe

Common to most car companies, the Ford Company gave the 1994 Probe only a few
minor changes following a major redesign in 1993. Changes for the last two years,
though, seems to be focused on making the Ford Probe a safer car. A few improvements
were also made to the base model to make it as close as possible to the GT trim
in terms of quality and performance.
Still using the 2.2 liter 4-cylinder engine, the base model gets an upgrade as
3 hp was added to the power it used to produce. The base engine now produces 118
hp and 127 lb-ft torque. The GT trim runs on the same V6 engine that was used
for the previous year's model. Power ratings did not change for the premium model,
and so did not the fuel efficiency ratings for both trims.
Interior and exterior features remained the same for both trims, although a Sport
Option package was introduced for the base model. This new optional package can
make the base-Probe feel like the GT trim in performance, quality and comfort
at a much cheaper cost. Also new for all trims is the passenger side airbag, aimed
to make the Ford Probe a safer car to drive.
