1993 Ford Probe GT

The premium Ford Probe trim is really an excellent sports coupe and in its major
redesign in 1993, it gets even better. With a new engine, it is aimed to provide
more power and faster acceleration. A step was also made to make it even safer
to drive.
Ford replaced the turbocharged engine that the GT used to have with a larger
2.5 liter V6 engine. This new engine provides the GT with 164 hp at 5600 rpm and
a torque of 160 lb-ft at 4000 rpm. These added torque and power means more speed
for the Probe GT. It also accelerates faster now than ever before, making it a
true sports and race car.
Although the interior of the GT for 1994 didn't change much, it gets a number
of changes in other aspects like body size and powertrain and drivetrain features.
The 1993 Ford Probe GT is 4 inches longer in wheelbase and 2 inches longer in
over-all length. This added length makes the GT's handling and cornering abilities
even better.
Safety has also been better because of the introduction of the driver airbags
as standard features. The GT is also now equipped with all-wheel disc brakes,
which when combined with the optional ABS brakes provides added safety to your
car. Passenger and side-impact airbags, however, still need to be added for optimum
safety.
